About
Flame of Life is an American (formerly Belarusian) lazer band, formed in 2015 by Fazer and The Bottle. The former was a kung-fu master and a backup vocalist of the band Kometa, whereas the latter was a guitarist of the punk-rock band Wortex Joke Equal. After their bands ceased to exist, the musicians started working together.
Gothic bassist Dead Flower lived in a local cemetery prior to joining. Dj Arxonix was the last original member of the band.
Flame of Life recorded a demo tape, "Dark World", in 2015. Their debut album, "Atomic Cocktail", was released in 2016. Back then, they positioned themselves as an alternative rock band, so the album was critized for its too experimental sound.
In 2017, Flame of Life released their self-titled album, which triggered the rise of lazer. "Flame of Life" is considered to be one of the most prominent lazer releases, along with "Party" (Emma Peal), "Ex Machina" (Bleeding Corp), "The Scaners" (The Scaners) and "The Kicking Mule" (Street Sects). These five bands formed the backbone of the first wave of lazer.
In 2019, Flame of Life was joined by an anarchist drummer - the Cowboy. He threw away his passport when he was 16. By the end of the year, they released a new album, "Red Sunset".
In 2021, the band was joined by guitarist Amsheah and keyboard player Damien Nolan. Soon, amid the war between Russia and Ukraine, Flame of Life moved to USA. Subsequent albums included "El Kama" (2022) and "Saturn" (2024).
As of 2025, Flame of Life had released over 80 songs. They are considered to be one of the most influential lazer bands, and their sound is often defined as extremely original, with strong grunge and industrial vibes.
