Dufranzay (born Zacharias Nelson III on November 16, 2004) is an American record producer, music artist, songwriter, and audio engineer based in Atlanta, Georgia. Known for his signature “Love, Luxury, & Soul” sound, he blends Hip-Hop, R&B, Electronic, Pop, and cinematic Soul influences into immersive, emotionally driven music.

Born in Richmond, Virginia, raised in North Carolina, and beginning his career in Huntsville, Alabama before establishing himself in Atlanta, Dufranzay’s journey has been shaped by creativity, discipline, and a commitment to mastering his craft. His first introduction to music and performance came through school band, where he played trumpet and developed an early connection to musical expression and storytelling.

As a producer, Dufranzay approaches music through emotion, atmosphere, and intention. Trained in sampling, he searches across genres for unique sounds and inspiration, combining rich piano-driven harmonies, atmospheric rhythms, floating melodies, powerful basslines, and carefully crafted drums to create a signature sound that balances luxury, emotion, and soul.

Influenced by visionary producers such as The Neptunes, Kanye West, Daft Punk, and Nujabes, Dufranzay studies the past while creating toward the future. His production style focuses on building complete experiences — records that capture a feeling, tell a story, and connect with listeners beyond a single genre.

Beyond production, Dufranzay is an audio engineer who oversees the creative process from composition to final mix, ensuring every element contributes to the vision of the record. As both an artist and producer, he uses music as a form of storytelling and creates for anyone who resonates with the energy, emotion, and atmosphere behind his sound.

Dufranzay is the founder of Verset Overture (VO), a creative production house dedicated to music, media, and artistic expression. As the creative director behind his own brands, he continues to develop a world around his sound and vision.
