About
Michael Spaulding is a solo artist out of Boston, Mass who started his solo career, after being the guitarist for MANY popular bands including SYNJ,in 2009. With the release of his debut EP "From Then to Now" in 2009 (in which he made his vocal debut, along with writing/playing every instrument/vocal on album except drums played by the albums producer Joe Merrick and drummer Chris Tagz), Michael immediately began gaining regional recognition and airplay on the most popular radio stations in the region including Kiss108, Waaf, WFNX, and many others.
Being known as one of the most respected, hardest working, and talented artists around, Michael Spaulding, along with his full live band, were opening/touring/headlining with national bands such as Puddle of Mudd, Sevendust, Cold, 10 Years, Staind, Filter, Nonpoint, Ill Nino, among MANY more up until early 2011.
With a busy schedule and many inner demons calling out to slow down, in mid 2011, Michael completely shut down his music empire (stores, websites, social network pages, etc were all deleted) and took over a year and a half away from it all to focus on family and bettering life in all aspects.
With the urge to write and play during this time, his break was finally over.
With a new outlook on life and a fresh start, Michael came out of nowhere and recorded/released his first single in well over a year, titled "Letter," which was dedicated to the men and women of the armed forces, Immediately releasing it online under re-built music pages and social networking sites, the single (along with his unexpected full fledged return) skyrocketed to popularity and gained regional airplay within the first month. With the single rapidly gaining buzz, Michael was officially BACK, and released the debut music video for "Letter," which immediately gained the attention of Goliath Distribution based out of NYC and L.A.
In late July 2012, Michael signed an official world-wide Film/Tv Show Music Distribution deal with Goliath Distribution, which is a platform to have his music featured on popular network shows and short films. Fast forward to Fall of 2012, in which Michael immediately began working on "Through These Eyes," his first album in nearly 3 years. The album, which also for the first time features members of the live band on select tracks, is a fresh "start from scratch" effort and is getting RAVE reviews from both fans and industry insiders across the globe!
With a building schedule of both solo acoustic gigs and full band shows, a strong and massive following being re-built rapidly,a work ethic UN-matched by anybody, the highly reviewed new album "Through These Eyes" (released in Dec 2013) doing VERY well , and a work ethic that is undeniably one of the hardest in the business, Michael Spaulding is set to be THE next big break-out rock artist in the music world!
